SPECIFICS OF USING THE VENTURE REWARD
Items and services that ARE eligible for purchase with Venture Reward funds:
● Private lessons through a third-party provider (more instructions are listed in the third-party provider section below)
● Subscription boxes--please note that you do NOT need to use Venture Reward funds to pay for the subscription box option if you selected it as an elective in place of the weekly onsite program
● Museum passes, YMCA memberships: Funds are allowed to be used for the purchase of individual OR family educational memberships and passes.
● Educational subscriptions
● School supplies
● Computers, laptops, tablets, learning apps, printers, 3D printers, printer paper, printer ink, screen protectors, virus/malware protection, technology warranties, internet reimbursement
● Books, workbooks, art supplies, activity books, craft kits
● Learning games, puzzles, Legos, building sets
● STEM kits and activities
● Musical Instruments other than piano
● P.E. equipment such as cones, balls, scooter boards, mats
● Robots and coding programs or curriculum
● Subscriptions for Audible, Epic, digital books, etc.
Items that ARE NOT eligible for purchase with Venture Reward funds:
● Food
● Clothing--activity specific gear, such as ballet slippers or rock climbing shoes, is allowed
● Animals or pet supplies
● Piano--electric keyboards are allowed
● Full-sized trampoline--small exercise trampoline is allowed
● Kayaks
● Rafts
● Gaming-specific technology: specialty gaming headsets, gaming keyboards, gaming mouse controllers
● Video games or consoles
● Basketball hoop, bicycles
● Religious-based curriculum and materials such as: The Good and the Beautiful, Abeka, Apologia, Sonlight, etc.--You may teach with a religious curriculum, but you may not spend funds on a religious curriculum
