Job Description For: Product Development Team Member
Venture Upward empowers families to cultivate a love of learning through high-quality curriculum, mentorship, and community support. Our mission is to make home education accessible, clear, and engaging for every family we serve.
To help fulfill this mission, we utilize Adventure Learning Labs. The creation, maintenance, and general upkeep of these courses requires incredibly detail-minded, focused, and driven individuals. ALL Team Members report to the Adventure Learning Labs Program Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Upload created Learning Labs to the Learning Management Platform
- Clone Learning Labs to new districts in the Learning Management Platform
- Apply edits to previously created Learning Labs in the Learning Management Platform
- Make updates to Learning Labs based on annual changes
- Assist in workbook creation
- Assist in Rubric creation/adjustment based on annual changes
- Assist in the creation and editing of supply lists from year to year
- Feedback form
- Module Drive email
- Create slides for Learning Lab modules
- Create voice-overs as needed for K-4 Learning Labs
- YouTube uploads for content creators as well as voice-overs
- Attend bi-weekly team meetings
Position Details & Compensation:
Department: Product Development
Reports To: Adventure Learning Labs Program Manager
Employment Type: Part-time/temporary position. Work will terminate between Nov 21-Dec 31st of the school year
Hours: 15-25 hours per week
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
Licenses/Degrees: High School Diploma required
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust-based relationships across teams.
- Experience supporting executive workflows, including scheduling systems, spreadsheets, data organization, and digital productivity tools.
- Comfort leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, organization, and executive support processes.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining close alignment with executive priorities and leadership expectations.
- Ability to work efficiently, meeting deadlines without compromising allotted hours or integrity of work.
Technical / Equipment:
- Reliable computer and high-speed internet access
- Understanding of LMS platforms, responsible AI usage, and some coding experience
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Professional and approachable demeanor for interacting with team members
- Flexibility to step in and support operational tasks as needed.
