Meet the David-Price Family

Hello! We are the David/Price family and live in a small community outside of Pavillion, WY, on a ranch with our two beloved blue heeler dogs and two cats. Matthew David (Dad) is an I&E technician for Contango, runs a crane business, and is a true jack-of-all-trades—building, constructing, doing mechanic work, welding, and managing cattle. Kim David (Mom) is a stay-at-home mom who loves photography, spending time with family, and crafting. Kadon Price (Big Brother, 26) lives in Billings, MT, managing and working in sales. Tierra Price (Big Sis, 24) lives in Laramie, WY, and will graduate on December 13, 2024, with a double major in Business, making it her sixth degree. She also plans to complete her master’s degree. Dannika David (13) is a sweet, kind-hearted teenager who enjoys spending time with her friends at Gems Club, a Christian girls’ club on Fridays. She also loves drawing, crafting, and snuggling with her cats. Logan David (10) is a fun-loving boy with a big heart. He enjoys playing Minecraft with friends, going to TNTZ, a Christian boys’ club, on Fridays, and playing guitar, building with LEGO, and playing board and card games.

As a family, our favorite holiday is Christmas, and we love putting together 350-piece puzzles, attending Tuesday night Bible study, taking walks, and camping. Dannika and Logan have been homeschooled for five years through Riverton, WY Spur’s virtual school system, and have participated in Venture Upward for the past two years.

We are very happy with the Venture Upward home-educating program and all it offers. The kids have had fantastic experiences and love it! We’ve noticed a huge difference in the one-on-one attention they receive, which has made a significant impact on their education, progress, learning, grades, and overall success. They are more confident, and their attitudes towards learning are very positive.

The flexibility of using our own coordinating curriculum alongside Venture Upward’s curriculum has been a blessing. We spend our time learning together, with each day planned for schoolwork and extracurricular activities with local homeschool friends. We are grateful for all the curriculum provided by Venture Upward and the amazing subscription boxes that capture each child’s interest. The kids’ teacher and principal are helpful, prompt, supportive, and provide positive feedback. Everyone at Venture Upward has been knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. It’s incredibly rewarding to spend time with our kids and watch them learn!

Overall, we feel confident as a family that Venture Upward has been the right choice for our home-education journey with our two youngest. They have excelled in ways we didn’t see before joining the program. Their curiosity for learning has been renewed, and we love having control over their education while staying closely tied to our school district’s curriculum. Venture Upward has been a great fit for our family, and we are thankful for all it has given to us and our kids.
