Minnesota Curriculum Choices

Each K-12 student in Minnesota meets state standards by working in an online curriculum resource in the four core subjects of language arts, math, science, and social studies. These Venture-offered curriculums are chosen with careful guidance from the student’s Teacher of Record. Weekly pacing is required in each of these four core subjects.

In addition, students in grades K-8 participate in our Standards Alignment Week to complete module work. And students in grades K-3 reading below a 4th grade level participate in a fun early literacy program of their choosing.

Each quarter K-8 students are required to participate in a standards alignment week. During this week students are not required to work in their chosen online curriculum resources, but instead work in our Venture-Created module courses. These courses meet state standards for their grade in art, health, and PE, as well as any standards that are not included in their chosen online curriculum. Some curricula have no gaps and require no module work.
